Kathryn V, one of my best friends made the trip to Chicago to visit some friends and see the amazing HOT CHIP concert. We took some time during her trip to take some headshots for her upcoming event.

Join Minneapolis Fashion Initiative Thursday, May 20th, 8pm at the Lab Theater for an evening of sartorial experimentation as four of the freshest faces in local fashion will converge to present collections reflecting a vibrant new view on what defines Minneapolis ready-to-wear.

The show features spring/summer collections from designers Dawson, Niki English, Kathryn V., Tender Cuts, and a runway segment by local clothing boutique Cliche. Musical Styling will be provided by the great Famuel!!

Calamity! is a runway event unique in its focus on street wear, embracing the ever-growing interest in local fashion in the city while taking the initiative to step away from occasion dressing. These collections draw inspiration from style elements commonly seen in Minneapolis, and turn it up a notch.

Family Visit

Recently the family (minus one older brother) came to visit me at my newly acquired home in Chicago. In exchange for room and board I asked my little brother to wear a rented and smelly mascot cow-head. I photographed the whole ordeal as he ran around a very public park.

Moments Before Spring

About a week ago I took a walk along Lake Michigan with my fiancee. Everything around me was slowly melting while birds were singing. Now, the snow is gone and green things are starting to pop out of the ground. I love the cold and snow but, I am glad to see it go.

The Bearded Lady is the fourth member of a beauty series I am currently working on based around the idea of facial features society views as unattractive and unwanted.

Chris and Casey

On September 27th Chris and Casey tied the knot at the beautiful Weddings of Wayzata. My fiance and I had the sincere pleasure of photographing the wedding. The day was filled with loving family members, warm food and a group dance to the Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Updated Website

After graduating from Brooks Institute over a month ago I moved to Chicago with my lovely fiance. Since than I’ve been working on updating my website and designing new promo pieces and business cards. Check it out.

FOR SALE

With the current economy, I have been wanting to do and photo project about all the businesses that are having to close their doors. After talking and talking about the idea, I finally decided to start shooting...I grabbed my best friend, my POLAROID OneStep, and began the adventure on upper State St. in Santa Barbara, CA.

These are two of the images I shot earlier today:

When I came back from shooting, I realized that I had used my last pack of POLAROIDS, dang. After I find and purchase more polaroids I'm hoping to create a blurb book of all the images so...watch out!

Santa Barbara Seasons

I'm SUPER EXCITED...I have recently been published in SANTA BARBARA SEASONS. 

The recent issue of Santa Barbara Seasons (mar/april/may 09) is currently in book stores around the Santa Barbara county area.  I have been working with the wonderful staff at Santa Barbara Seasons for two months now, and have a another shoot scheduled on March 23.  I cannot wait to work with them again...

finally retouched CHRISTMAS!

I finally made a pot of coffee and sat down in front of the computer and retouched my favorite images from this last Christmas. Every year since I can remember my family has opened presents super early on Christmas morning, we each take turns opening until nothing is left then we have a huge breakfast.  The morning is always full of smart remarks and attempts to "kill" the dogs.
